Lamki
Multiple Campus is only one bachelor level community based campus at Lamki Chuha Municipality. In the campus, students from different cultures, religions,
ethnic groups also approach having great aspirations and expectations to be
met. On the other hand, the campus also has been doing constant hard work &
initiation to meet the aim of producing highly skilled manpower and providing
quality education. Frankly speaking, LMC has addressed the needs & demands
of students to some extent by providing bachelor level education near by their
localities. Despite these many helping hands of the people around here, the
campus is still in poor condition in course of physical facility development.
Therefore, it is very much challenging to address the needs & demands of
students in time.
Lamki Multiple Campus with the major challenges was
established without having any shelter on its own. Since its establishment, it
was looking for a permanent shelter to provide higher education to those people
who are cut off from it because of many reasons. It would not be possible to
this form without the will & endeavor of the people of the then Baliya VDC
and the energetic team of the campus. Consequently, the campus became
successful to build 10 rooms (tin-roofed) building to settle the students to some
extent in the beginning. It was supported by the then Baliya VDC & Kailali
DDC under the leading of Campus Management Committee & the campus family
whole. LMC again became successful to plant the seed of building from the
support of Kailali DDC and later it was completed in the support of University
Grants Commission (UGC). The building consisting of 16 rooms also had been
completed under the support of UGC, Municipality and DDC. The campus gate
supported by Municipality has been completed. The campus has been donated 14
ropani, 10 ropani cum 1 katta land by Tej Bahadur Thapa, Surya Bahadur Thapa
& Chudamani Bhandari and Lalmani Dhakal, and a Library building by Mr. Abi
Lal Chaulagain respectively as they had donated in the religious ceremony
organized by the campus. Similarly, the campus has owned 2 rooms building which
was constructed earlier by Matribhumi Community Forest Consumers’ Committee.
The campus has its own gate with the graveled road to the campus. It has also
managed some panning and gardening with the assistance to different donor
agencies. Recently the campus has been donated a college bus by Lamki Chuha
Municipality for the transport facility to the students.
Thank you!
